MIDI CV software...

Me again...
I know that what I'm doing vanishes compared to the big bang, but still...
I've been working on the software for my midiCV.
The idea is quite basic: The most recent values of the CV outputs are kept
in memory. The main program consists of a loop that updates the CV's with
the values from the memory. Whenever a byte is received on the UART (MIDI
IN), an interrupt is generated, the byte is stored in the right place, and
when the MIDI message is fully received, the necessary values are updated.
I've made some diagrams in Ms Word. The file (software.zip) is available at
my website:
www.geocities.com/roelrules/software.html
Diagrams for the note on and note off message handlers aren't finished yet.
These are the most interesting, and hardest, but this is a start...
The same for the 'edit mode'. An external interrupt is used to get in Edit
mode. In this mode, the midi CV channels aren't updated, and parameters can
be set using a menu (which is also going to be lotsa fun to figure out...).
And next week I'll start writing the text for my thesis too. It'll be in
dutch. If anyone is interested in reading it or following the proces of
writing it, let me know, I'll send my updates to you...
Maybe I'll translate it to English once... Ain't got the time now...
Remember, I love comments...
Cheers,
Roel
