Stereo phaser/effects

This brings me to the question, not many effects are stereo. Much can be
done to come out with some pretty cool stereo or surround effects designs.
Is there a market trend towards this kind of thing? Or is the "stereo"
nature of this phaser really secondary? As you may recall, I've always
toyed with the idea of doing a modular synth with stereo or surround
inherent in its design. Is now the time? (even though I probably never
will do it....)

Hmm, I just saw that MAM have announced their new phaser
to be shown at Frankfurt, so I guess it's out of the bag now.
As they don't tell more than this on their web site, I won't go
into details either:
Look for "PH2, Stereo Analogue Phaser". (Halle 8.0 L35)
Scaled down version of the big 12-stage phaser I built for myself
last fall, very affordable price (don't know the exact figure)

Touched by Sound will present the "Compact Clone" phaser on
the show as well.

As I see the question coming: These are two very different beasts,
and not related (other than by the obvious link (;->) ).
