Where to get special ICs? (From Switzerland) (CONT'D)

Ok, I got up now and asked around in Switzerland, by the local
distributors.
The result was:
Most distributors in Switzerland don't even sell in single quantities,
and some I asked do, but have horrible high prices.
So for example 'Farnell' and 'Spoerle Electronic'

			Farnell Spoerle Electronic

ADSP-2181 46US$ 70US$
DSP56002FC40	37US$ 57US$

And on the net (www.questlink.com) the DSP56002FC40 cost lousy 13US$ and
in Switzerland fucking (sorry...) 37US$.
This is about three times more than if I would buy it on the net. And on
the net it always says, it can't accept my VISA card because I'm an
international customer, so they couldn't check my card number. I know,
that not my card is the problem because I used it on the net recently
for buying software and this worked perfectly.

Another point is this: They say on the return fax, that the DSP56002
evaluation board isn't available anymore, but I didn't see any note on
this on the Motorola site.

It's really frustrating that if you want to start with DSP or build any
special circuit with special ICs in it, I've for example to trow out
some hundred dollars only for getting a litte beginning DSP project
together. While in US you can get some of these DSP devices for almost
free.

And the last option, order devices by someone from the list doesn't seem
to be very ideal. Because I don't want to annoy a particular person, by
asking him to order this or that device all the time.

So it would obviously be better to put away any plans of any DSP
project, and starting to build simple circuits with LED and so on :-))))

Well, I feel somewhat better now, since I told my electronical problems
to the list.
But it still makes me terribly angry.

Regards, Alex
