Analog/digital pipe organs?

Hi all,

A friend of mine is interested in making electronic organ (to emulate 
church pipe organs not hammonds) with all the manuals, registers and
foot controls. He's not shure if he'll use analog synthesis or sample
playback or even some digital synthesis (like dds) so any usefull info
would be apriciated. If you know some useful site, addy or some
such interest mail list please let me know, reply on my addy not to
bother others on this list.
