Indeed they are not for final assembly of permanent projects, however
I find them well suited for quick and dirty stuff, and especially
proof of concept.  I like to "trim" components and SBBs are great for
that; any component is quickly switched with a different value.  Testing
time is smaller.  After proof of concept is attained, the whole deal
goes onto a PCB of one kind or another.  So far, I've never had this
procedure fail.
