TB303 RAM again

Hi all,

I'd first like to say many thanks to those of you who offered advice
regarding getting hold of the RAM ICs as used in the 303. Yeah Roland are
very good, I shall try them on Monday. I hear people knocking them all the
time, but personally I think their service is excellent. Especially for
spare parts.

Anyway, last night I removed the offending memory chip. I nosed around my
spares boxes, and found a 2114. Same type of memory, same pinout! I was dead
chuffed when I plugged it in and... it worked!! Great, I thought. Sorted!

And then I wake up this morning, and find the brand new four quids worth of
batteries are dead.

Dammit... obviously the 2114 draws a lot of current.... bah! Oh well, at
least I know why the run/battery indicator started going erratic last night.

Cheers,

Trev
