ARP Avatar pickup cable

I bought the Avatar pickup (now deceased) when the Avatar reached "given up for
dead" status... The pickup is extremely low output, and hum is a problem esp. with
hex fuzz.
Then I got a 360 systems "slavedriver" w/pickup... much better about 4X the output
of the Avatar... but still single coil. Built a hex fuzz based on 6 Big Muff PI
clone boards...
The hex fuzz was very smooth... not what I expected but very cool.
The Roland Pickup is about $200... too rich for me... Roland is the patent holder
on hex humbuckers... YOU NEED ONE to make a guitar synth work... that's why they
are about the only one...
Except G-VOX who patented a "guitar to computer" interface... It is NOT a musical
instrument so it skirts the Roland patent. The G-VOX is a about $100 for the
whole shebang... throw away everything else and keep the pickup... I got mine for
$50.
Hex fuzz will soon rise from the dead (back of my closet...)
