How about a vcf rating scale?

Thanks for all the feedback on my post.

The thing I find interesting about filters
is the different designs. And I wish there
were more different types available.

Based on my experience
the particular circuit implementation is less
critical to the sound than the underlying
mathematics of the design. The example
of the ladder design vs. OTAs comes to mind.
I believe the significant difference is the
motion of the poles/zeros as resonance is
increased. However based on diagrams I
have seen, the ladder design and OTA
design have the same pole/zero motion?

The Matrix 12 filter is a "classic" four pole
OTA design with each stage output brought out to
a weighted summer network. The different
tap "weights" give all the different responses.
This is something I keep meaning to play
with and I wondered if anyone has experimented
with this yet?

Best Regards,

Grant
