Yeah, it was, but just try to buy center-tapped linear pots from one of our 
typical suppliers (without ordering 10,000 pieces from Alpha..)!

Those pots are also great for positive/negative CV attenuators (you can 
ground the center tap to get a solid 0v at the middle position).

Do you know of a supplier for tapped linear pots? (center detent would be 
nice, too)
