Oberheim Xpander Problem

    Most of the time when you replace a battery used for backup,
you have to leave the device turned on for a while, ( overnight )
so the battery initially charges. The only other thing I can think of is
that part of the reset circutry has failed, and when you switch
the OB on and off the memory gets trashed.
