Really?  If you have to make a living with some hobby of yours, the pressure,
the time constraints, the financial constraints and the ugly compromises
marketing dep. or the market forces you to do may put some poison into your wine.
It is a privilege to optimise a circuit, or to think about it as long as you may want.
You won't have that in the industry.

Same with music. I'm very glad that I earn my bucks with something other then music.
Odd studio jobs, odd gigs, traveling... not very nice (after the first days).
That's what I observed with the pro musicians that where my teachers.

Besides the fact that I never would have gotten over the first audition...
