Not, not a good synth, needs more. If you build these as kits, though, you
can add another EG, and another VCO
and VCA for about $1500. That's about 90% of a 2600 or MiniMoog
functionality.
In fact, ALL of the current demos on the site are using this "basic" setup.
Not wimpy, but "entry level". Besides, MOTM is "the return of Big Iron".
Drop a SH-101 on concrete, get broken plastic.
Drop a MOTM, get chipped concrete.
