New analog synth poll.

I think you're missing the point.. it was suggested that the machine in
question could be a polyphonic with *VCO*'s. All the modular systems
you're mentioning are monophonic. Multiply the number of VCO's by a factor
of 8 in the case of most modular systems and you're talking about far more
than $1500. If you disagree with the usefulness of an analog poly that's
your business, but it's more appropriate for other discussion groups.

Personally I agree with Tomg, I'll believe a true analog poly can be
produced for <$1500 when I see it. ESPECIALLY when people talk about
having jack connections in the back for each function.. we're talking
about a substantial increase in development as well as production cost.

Also, the idea to not advertise until you have a 100% finished, working
product is just not feasible. You need the products to move as soon as you
have them completed... ads take time to run, reviews have to be written,
and the public has to be enthused. Nobody wants to have to pay for
warehouse space to store units while the public gets their enthusiasm
going.

Back to cool Labradford-esque drones on my Octave Cat. Let's leave the
rest of this discussion to AH, since it really has little to do with DIY.
