If/when this synth is built, make sure there's plenty of service docs
available and try to stay away from custom chips and SMDs if possible. Use
easily obtainable components, again, if possible. Keep accurate production
records including: suppliers, when suppliers change, numbers of units made,
revisions and updates. Make these available to the customer.
Also, make sure it's easy to service, modify and upgrade. A single circuit
board, except for the power supply, keep that separate. Don't make it a
jigsaw puzzle to take apart and put together.
And most importantly:
Don"t advertise or announce that this synth exists until it is tested,
debugged, built in numbers and ready to ship!!
