Finally got a chance to double check and this not true. MIDI is 
factory on the DW-6000. I can't comment on anything else as I don't 
have the docs handy, but I keep wondering if you're thinking of an 
earlier model like the Poly 61 or something. I also find it hard to 
believe that a Japanese synth manufacturer would make two wildly 
different models in the same line the same year. They're too 
parsimonious for that.
