I use photo sensitive board, and the results are excellent and easily
repeatable.
The main disadvantage was the initial cost of the UV exposure unit, although
there are tips for building your own on various places around the net.
I would recommend pre-coated board over messing about with photoresist
yourself too.
I use a Laserjet 1100 to print out the foils - at the highest toner density
setting I get good results, but you need to be careful that your printout is
opaque enough to prevent any UV getting through the image.
