A trick I've used in the past is to put the pcb and acid in a heavy grade
clear plastic bag and run hot water over it in a sink.  This also allows
you to agitate the acid which speeds things up.  I've done this with ferric
and the ammonium persulphate sounds like a better deal (that it allows you
to see the pcb is great).  As long as the bag doesn't leak, you ok.  The
heavy duty zip-lock freezer bags work well for most small pcbs.
