dear blandon

the putney filter isn't the best filter in the world, but at certain settings
it has a very tasty sound. beyond that particular sound it gets a bit too
squelchy and dull. i built it as my first filter, because i wanted something
that was an oddball with it's own sound and the EMS filter turned out to be
perfect for this big first step. DO NOT follow the schematic you found, it
will lead you to weeks of frustration and possibly burnt fingers. you can
