EL display

Is this a vacuum flourescent type thing? I don't know too much about them, 
but there is plenty of info out there on them if you search. Another good 
place to take your question might be sci.electronics.design, as somebody 
there is bound to be able to help you. You might also check 
www.repairfaq.org, maintained by Sam Goldwasser...he has an enormous quantity 
of information on electronics availble there, both on design and repair..I'm 
not sure, but there might be something there that will help you out...even if 
there isn't, I gaurantee you'll learn something useful from visiting that 
site.
