These are all very useful circuits. The VC-BPF is exactly what I was looking for. I'm currently working on homebrew Vactrols, using SMD LDRs and LEDs. Mine will have two independent LDRs, so this filter will only need two of my modules. I would add another one as VCA, so I can control the amplitude of each resonance peak too.
