For middle of the road stuff, the TL074CP is fine. If ultra low noise is
needed, go to duals like the NE5532 or BB OP2604. If driving long cables is
possible, try the AD OP275 or NE5532. The LM324 (quad LM741) is good for
non-audio or slow audio stuff like LFO's, LED drivers, etc.
