   I am glad that there are honest companies that *do* ask for
   permission when they put things of mine into production. And I
   cannot sue anybody who does not ask, but I can be pissed off, and I
   will say so.

Their loss.  They would certainly have a far superior product if
they'd hired you as a consultant.

"So, we'd like to go into production with this module.  How can we
make it better and more useful?  Are there any problems we should
watch out for?  What features should we add?  What are some wild,
unexpected uses for it?"

(On the other hand, maybe they're running on a tiny budget and they
just can't afford you.  :-))
