The blacklist problem was, that the Barrons felt that the 
Oscar that went to the 'musical director' should have gone to them.
And, made the fatal mistake of saying so.
Result was, the "never worked in this town again". At least under

BTW, the creation of 'unusual' sounds by torturing ckts is a venerable 
one.. I find yanking the power lead can do useful things sometimes..
perhaps some fx units could usefully be driven by a power supply with 
a controlled ammount of LFO superimposed on it.
