I guess this falls under DIY, since I'm doing my own repair work here...
I recently snagged a 106 pretty cheaply ($80) with 2 dead voices and 2
busted keys. Keys are easy to fix, but 2 voice chips are dead (and 4
others probably on their way) I know there's a lot of keyboard service
people on the list so I'd like to ask a few questions.
How much do they 80017A's cost, and where can I find them (purchase)?
And is there anything else I shouyld be aware of when removing and
installing the knew ones?
PS: The 80017A is the VCA/VCF Correct? I was told by the guy i bought
it from those were the ones that are dead. Is there any way to check?
Thanks
