Hooray! I couldn't agree more.
I applaud Eric Barbour and Bill Layers for their work with
tube circuitry. It is ever so much more difficult than solid
state and more of a challenge.
Just as the heath of an ecosystem can be judged by it's
genetic diversity, the health of forum can be judged by it's
memetic diversity.
Every technology has something to offer in the service of
the arts. Let's hear more and more ideas on how to build
circuits that make noise.
For instance, the term "electronium" which was originally
a real product, has since come to mean any custom built
device for the generation of sound. Reed Ghaza's work
with circuit bending technology is a good example of an
electronium. How about some discussion about
unique circuits that form "mini-synthesizers" that are
different form your standard modular (which can be used
to patch up many "electroniums".
