Subject: 303 buttons and LEDs
Hi all,
I've been subscribed to this list for about 4 months now, and I have to thank you all for both the theoretical and practical information on
synthesizers. I have the very good fortune of owning a good condition
tb-303, the only problem is that three of the switches (buttons) completely don't work, and half of the others work partially or intermittently (multiple triggering for only one push, etc.), and some of the LEDs are dimmer than the others. Now for the question: will simply replacing the switches and LEDs fix the problem? And if so, where would be the best place to find them?
[Rob Brzykcy] Well, good luck finding the buttons... You will prlly come close, but i doubt you'll be able to get them to fit exactly.. The caps on the switches will be a little loose. It will more than likely fix your prob.
As for the LEDs, sounds like you merely have a wall wart dying.. The 606 i was working on had that problem, went to radio shack, bought an immensely overrated supply, and the leds came up bright as day. Try this first, since its the easiest..
Rob.
