Keep in mind that those new Maxim low-ohm analog switches are limited to 5.5 
volt supplies (and signals).  This would probably make them not so good for 
switching filter signals.  However, they do have some other switches that can 
handle up to +/- 20 volt supplies and signals.  These other switches have on 
resistances between 1.25 ohms to 5 ohms (still pretty darn good!).  Look on 
the seventh page of that Maxim flyer ("Replace your worn-out relays with 
Maxim's CMOS switches").  These higher-voltage switches are available in 
regular old-fashioned DIP packages, too.  (unlike many of Maxim's parts)
