SUBJECT: Discontinuation of the SSM2024/2110/2120/2122

WHY: The SSM2024/2110/2120/2122 are the last of the old SSMT products (Solid
State Music Technology acquired in 1988) that are purchased by foundry and
sold
on a buy/resell basis. Since Exar (foundry) is going to archive the mask
sets we
are forced to discontinue these four generics.

WHEN: Last time buys will be accepted through October 31, 1999 with final
delivery schedules not to exceed October 31, 2000.  The Exar foundry will
cease
Manufacturing of these parts effective October 31, 1999.   PLEASE BRING THIS
NOTIFICATION TO THE ATTENTION OF YOUR AFFECTED CUSTOMERS IMMEDIATELY!!!!
