If there's a uP anyway in the system, one could consider a hybrid
envelope generator: the uP does all the control logic while the cap
charge/discharge is done analog, much like the CEM3371. JH's VCADSR
would boil down to one quad opamp (one opamp as comparator, compares the
output voltage with threshold CV), four trannies and a few passive
components. This would easily fit on a little PCB replacing the 3310.
