BIG SCORE!!! and Minimoog refinishing questions

Well, I should probably start with the really cool story...  :-)

I just got home from another trip to Kansas City (where I'm moving in
January) and brought home my new toy.  I picked up a Minimoog for $50!
(The guy I got it from bought it at a garage sale for $2.00...)  This
deinitely ranks up there with my best all time finds!

So, it was making sound, then it got pretty crackly - I'm guessing a
good cleaning to start with.  Any suggestions how I should go about
that?  DeOxit?  Probably starting with the edge connectors and keyboard
contacts?  What should I go through on it?

Also, I'm sure that someone out there has refinished the wood cabinet on
a Mini.  What kind of finish did you use?  I'm not even sure of exactly
what color to use.
