Hi All...
I asked some time ago if anyone could locate a 4M7 lin pot for my digisound noise
generator project and I had a few good suggestion of ways round this.
What I have ended up doing was use a dual gang 2M2 lin pot and soldered the bottom -
parallel connectors together and the wiper and top connector of the rear pot are
also soldered together. The front wiper and the rear top connector give me a range -
of 3R1 to 4M2 which I am sure is more than adequate.
Many thanks to Chris Crosskey for pointing me in the right direction, and all the
others who suggested other possibilities.
I have not quite finished the noise generator as I am still short one CA3140 which -
I forgot to order but managed to finish another VCO, comb filter and a high low
band pass filter this evening.
Digisound VCDO just need two 33n caps which I also forgot to order and the
digisound processor module just needs assembling... Oh yes and I have to build a
+-15v PSU for all the digisound stuff! I though I was getting the maplin kit for
this today but they have discontinued it, I thought this would be a neat way of
avoiding trailing through catalogues for the right components...bum! more work..
:)
cheers
