I realized that there is more to the subject, as I had sent the mail...

I actually came up with another idea of how to do the phase modulation,
it's rude but it kind of works also...

If you instead of changing the load current insert your phase modulation signal
(without passing an diffrentiator curcuit) onto the positive terminal of the
VCO core integrator, then it will be added to the output. You could possibly
have the back-reset curcuit, but you would be limited to the phase/V scale of
the VCO core.

So, this curcuit may have more benefits than doing phase modulation as VCO
postprocessing, but it may fail to be better if you get a good wrapper curcuit
in place. I think the preprocessing with backward reseting of the VCO core is
supperiour for deep stuff.
