(Just back on line so maybe anwsered already...)

I make a 10:1 resistor divider  (well...11:1) using a 100K in series
with the synth out, and a 10K to ground...  This keeps nasty high
voltages (1-10V) out of the guitar input and prevents distortion...

If the guitar amp doesn't have a capacitor in series, put one in also to
protect from DC.
(Most have one already)

Start with the volume all the way down !!!!!
