Mr. Wilson begs to differ. In his book "Wouldn't it be nice" he attributes
his mental deficiencies to drugs. His earlier short interviews with Dick
Clark and others seem to bear this out as he is substantially more lucid.
There was certainly abuse from his father but he recalls it as being more
verbal and psychological in nature. Pulling out his glass eye etc. Carl just
hid and escaped most of it.
