I may get blasted for this, but personally, I think the most time/cost
effective way to go is to buy a cheap midi keyboard with velocity and
aftertouch if you dont already own one.

Then buy a Midi->CV kit to use your MIDI gear to control your analog stuff.
Its the best of both worlds! It even supports Velocity, Aftertouch and Pitch
Bend from midi.

For a beginner, I recommend the Paia Midi->CV8 kit. Its not perfect, but its
cheap and easy to build. Check out www.paia.com. BTW, I am not assiciated
with them.

If you want to rewrite the firmware like I did, all you need is a PC EEPROM
programmer. Email me if you want the 8051 compiler and help getting the
source code to compile.
