Victoreen (Victoreen Instruments?) in the U.S. sells or used to sell high valued precision resistors (values like 10^15 ohms!) for use in ionization chambers and other radiation measuring equipment. I think Corning in the U.S. also sells similar resistors. I have found 100 Mega-ohm 0.5 percent resistors shopping around surplus stores.
