Doepfer makes and made a lot of MIDI products, some of them are very
unique. So I don't think the MS404 MIDI interface is from someone else.
I once had some e-mail correspondence with Christian Assall, who has written
much of the software for Doepfer. Just guessing, probably the MIDI soft
for the MS-404 is written by him too.
