tempcos, PTC or NTC

Dear all,

  Ok time for a diffinative answer.. if you look at some
log convertor circuits the opamp driving them can have
a tempco in one of three places..

1) in the feed back loop of the opamp (this is very common)

2) in the bottom of the divider chain on the output of the opamp
    (equally as common as 1)

3) in the top of the divider chain on the output of the opamp
    (vary rare)

  what I want know is Which do you need for *EACH* of the
above three methods PTC or NTC?
