[Beryllium Oxide] or Synth-DOA

What about grinding off typenumbers of IC's? What material are most
'plastic' IC's made of? I've removed lot's of typenumbers from IC's
over the years using a small grinding tool. There wasn't lots of
(visible) grinding dust around, but you never know.
