Hey Gang!
I managed to un-earth some more rare, out-of-print
synthesizer/electronic music books for sale. This
time around I've got quite a few heavy hitters
that won't last long:
(1) The Technology Of Computer Music by Max Matthews
M.I.T. Press, 1969, Hardcover, 188 Pages, MINT
Classic book with a large section on Music V
which was the predecessor to C-Sound
Price = $23.00 shipped US Priority Mail
(2) Electronic Music Synthesis: Concepts, Facilities,
and Techniques by Hubert Howe
1975, Hardcover, No DustJacket, 272 Pages, N-Mint
A very thorough tutorial with a section of some
nice pictures including: Moog55, Moog SonicVI,
MiniMoog, some Buchla's, Arp2500/2600, Synthi 100,
Synthi VCS3, Synthi A, and Synthi BK1. The book
had a fair amount of underlinining in pencil which
I've since erased.
Price = $25.00 shipped US Priority Mail
(3) The Music Machine - Selected Readings From The
Computer Music Journal edited By Curtis Roads
M.I.T. Press, 1989, Large Softcover, 725 Pages, MINT
This technically minded book contains numerous
chapters within the following section headings:
Interviews, Composition, The MIDI Interface,
Music Software, Synthesis & Signal Processing,
Signal Processing Hardware, Music & Artificial
Intelligence.
Price = $30.00 shipped US Priority Mail
(4) Musical Applications of Microprocessors by
Hal Chamberlin
Hayden Books, 1987, 2nd Edition, 802 Pages,
Hardcover, DustJacket, MINT!
What more can I say about this classic text?
This book has so much useful information that it
will appeal to the engineering gEEk and the
serious synthesist alike.
Price = $58.00 shipped US Priority Mail
(5) The Synthesizer by Roland Corp
This MINT condition 4-volume book set comes housed
in the standard cardboard holder and contains the
following titles:
* A Foundation For Electronic Music
* Multichannel Recording For Electronic Music

The modular patching examples are illustrated using
System 100m modules but are applicable to anyone
who owns a modular (Nord Modular Users take note!)

(6) The Complete Guide To Synthesizer by Devarahi
PrenticeHall, 1982, 214 Pages, Large Softcover, N-Mint
This is truly one of the holy-grail books on modular
synthesis. Features tons of modular patching diagrams
and front panel shots of modules from the Emu, Aries,
Moog modular systems. There is a large photo section
with lots of sexy shots of monosynth, polysynths, and
complete modular systems. Finally, there is a chapter
devoted to the programming of the Arp2600.
Price = BEST OFFER over $75.00
As always, the above prices are in US funds and must be
pre-paid with a US Postal money order. As soon as I receive
payment, your book(s) will be promptly shipped in a very safe
and secure manner.
Finally, here's a list of books/items that I'm looking to OBTAIN
for my personal library/collection. I am open to trades or will
buy outright:
(1) Analog Electronic Music Techniques
by Joel Naumann & James Wagoner
(2) DIGITAL AUDIO SIGNAL PROCESSING: AN ANTHOLOGY
by John Strawn
Don't confuse this title with the other book
by John Strawn called, "Digital Audio
Engineering: An Anthology" -- I don't need this one!!!
(3) Synthesizer Von Gestern Volume #1
By Matthias Becker
(4) Byte Magazine's Book Of Computer Music
(5) How To Make Electronic Music
By Russell Drake
(6) Roland PG-200 Programmer For JX-3P/MKS-30/GR-700
(7) Klaus Schulze Audio Sampling CD (by Masterbits)
NO CD-R'S!!!! Must be an original!!!!
Good luck!
Cheers,
Jeff R. Dec
