Solina phaser/chorus

Would anybody explain in detail, how the wonderful sounding thing 
is built ? Many people claim everything sounds incredibly when run 
thrugh the one. I have never touched the Solina but the records 
using one allways move me.
I have heard people used to rip it off the Solina to use as a 
studio effect. I think that would be great to clone it. Are there
any schemos available ?
