So did it happen already, then? (I have not checked - asuming you have.)
How could they expect that I'd ever use new SSM chips again when they drop
them after a few years.
I know why I go discreet whenever the old 3080, 741, TL072 etc. are not good
enough.
If a transistor (or transistor pair) becomes obsolete, you have the chance
to replace it
with a similar one at least.
