Hi All,
I feel compelled...

That's the Microsoft tradition - claim any and all available resources on your system, be they memory, HD space, data bandwidth, video ram etc. Give us new and wonderful features that we had never thought we needed. By doing this, M$ intentionally manages to crowd out 3rd party applications... I mean if MS is using all the resources, you can't install any third party software, right?
What I'm saying, is that if you just sucked up 70MB of your drive to install IE, and you got outlook with it, you don't feel like installing 3rd party applications (like Eudora, a GOOD email client) that duplicate the function of the M$ bloat you just installed.
FWIW, I am almost totally unable to understand and use M$ Outlook; I'm not even sure exactly what it is for, but I know it can send email. To complicate matters, there is also a prog called Outlook express, which while sounding a lot like Outlook, (apparently) did not warrant inclusion in the "greater" Outlook.
I'd laugh, if it wasn't so insidious.
