1 Filter on a poly

Well, if you are only going to play chords with all notes depressed at the
same time it would sound OK. Isn't the poly 800 this way? When would you
retrigger the EG for the VCF? "With each new note" would destroy the
decaying characteristics of the previously played notes. "With a new note
only after all notes off" would cause subsequent notes to start their
filter action from sometime in the mid point of the EG time. I would think
this would make for a very frustrating poly synth. On the other hand, if
such a feature were selectable, it might be interesting for some situations
(but certainly not desirable at ALL times in a poly synth). As with all
concepts, I am certain there are notable exceptions -- Korg PS series?
