Well I guess it's been a good month for diy! I received a notice from my ISP that EFM2 was getting
close to the limit and would be shut down for the remainder of the month if it exceeds 250M. Of
course I have the option of paying more......sigh......
There is about 50Meg left so if it goes away for a few days you'll know what's happening. It'll be
back the first of next month!!!! This is shocking, pleasing, comical and a pisser..... all at the
same time!
I only have 3Meg on-line! There were days this month traffic went as high as 40Meg. That's a lot of
people pulling a few files.
I've also noticed that it's getting harder to get parts in my neck of the woods. I may just be
paranoid but the bins for poly 1000pf and 2200pf at my local surplus place are empty....they were
half full a week or two ago. I made a call to another local place for lm393s...the guy said "You
know that's funny. I haven't sold any for months and yours is the third or forth call today."
Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining. I think it's great that so many people are evidently into
synth-DIY. But if this massive leeching doesn't slow down EFM2 may be off the air part of the time!
I think it's funny...but I guess I'll have to hold updates and new stuff until next month and that
is NOT funny!
-tg (ISP problems.....Damm!)
