On the subject of LFOs

Hi all,
I'm going to be doing a new front panel for my mono, so while I'm at it
I'm going to update my LFOs. What is everyone's fave way of delayed LFO
introduction? I have a nice circuit but it merely switches, with a
DG271, the LFO output after a certain time. Other synths do it with a
single pull down transistor or even CA3080s. This seems better as the
waveform is ramped up over a short period of time. Mine just kicks in,
and depending on where the wave is in its cycle, it can sound quite
abrupt. My new plan is to keep the LFO's cap shorted until it is time to
engage the output, but that would lead to odd things on the squarewave
output unless I forced the output comparator with the control signal.
Any other ideas?
