I don't think that Eric Barbour's work has been an issue on this list.
The recent email thread was more about what seems to be an unprovoked
attack by one list member against another listmember - something that is
not at all common on this list. People disagree with each other all the
time on this list, but they tend to do so with courtesy. To see an
attack from out of nowhere was rather weird.
Paul Perry and Eric Barbour may have disagreed on Analogue Heaven.
Great. I would just ask to keep the AH-type "flamewars" about 303s,
which synth is "phattest," whether Captain Kirk could beat up Captain
Picard, etc. on Analogue Heaven. A personal attack on Synth-DIY, based
on a single sarcastic email on Analogue Heaven, is WAY out of line. If
people are going to attack other list members for AH-related material,
do it on Analogue Heaven, or better yet in private.
Sean Costello (who likes to play analog synths through transistor fuzz
