yet more lfo questions

thanks to everybody for the helpful advice on LFO voltage levels. i think i am
going to use adjustable offset, good idea and easily implemented. now i am
having a problem with the 8038. i can't get very much range from it's CV
input. i went to Harris' web site and have tried all their approaches to
correcting this in the app notes, but the range still can't be more than 10-1.
i have even tried using a expo-current converter to control the freq. by
draining current from the charging cap but the 8038 didn't seem to like this
much. anybody ever used this chip and successfully gotten a decent sweep from
it? if so, i would very much like to talk to you.:)
