synthdiy_UK convention and Opto isolator

Dear all,

  Two things,

  Firstly, I have seta a date for the UK synth diy meeting, 21st of august, 
starting at midday, and ending by 7pm... it will be held in gloucester (I 
can get the venue for free). I need a list of people who will attend, I need 
to know numbers and names.. it will be free to get in.

  Secondly, going back to my opto isolator thing, according to the datasheet 
it has a rise time of 2uS , after digging out my calculator, this would 
appear to be fast enough for midi (fall time of 200nS).. anyone 
agree/disagree? Maplin dont have comeplete data on their opto-isolators, so 
I may end paying through the nose for something from RS... anyone know of an 
equivilent to the PC900/TIL111 or a supplier of either these two?
