Jim,
I bought a student edition of the Foundation Series and a board
for programming CPLD's from the link at the bottom of my rant.
Cost was $200 total. The board also has an 80c31, RAM and
some output hardware. They also sell a board with built-in
CODEC's for doing audio DSP development. Have fun!
